Shea Goodbye

metsblog.com posted an item about a funeral of sorts for Shea Stadium on Saturday at 12 noon at the site of Shea.

According to metsblog.com's Matt Cerrone, "Meet on the North side of the site, at the plaza facing the old traffic circle next to Northern Blvd,” one of the event’s planner said to [him] on e-mail.

    Thanks for sharing. This is event I have been organizing with help from sites like yours, MetsBlog, Peter Haskell at WCBS880AM, Ken Belson at the NYTimes, and others will help make this a true SHEA GOODBYE.

    I put it up, partly to remind myself, since I have no idea if anyone is following yet. Good to know I've picked up some followers.

    I'm going so I can be there, but I'm torn about posting the pictures I take because it would go against a rule I made about my blog - no pictures of Shea's demolition.
